I had about an hour before I met up with my Archeologist friend this evening so I hit a local field. My only find other than a few pieces of junk was a piece of lead splatter, probably run off from a musket ball. I

Very interesting Mike. Thanks for sharing the pics and the historical account. I know how much enjoyment I get from studying the history of this "modern area", and can only imagine the satisfaction you get from living in an area such as yours. For those of us who are likely to not have such a privilege, thanks for your continued posts. HH Randy
