A Quote from ML for repairing my Sov. Gt. WOW!

I dropped the control housing for my Sov. Gt and the audio stopped working. Sent it to ML. Cost for replacing motherboard on out of warranty Sov. Gt with an additional 6 months warranty on repairs. NO CHARGE. And to think, I was worried about just how much it was going to cost me. Thanks Minelab you guys are great! I will always be a customer.

WOW! I have heard that in the last year or so Minelab has vastly improved customer relations in terms of repairs and turn around times, but man that is above and beyond what anybody should expect. Do me a favor- Try shooting them back an Email and asking how far out years-wise they plan to fix the GT and SE Pro. I'd be real interested to hear what they have to say on that.

That's the kind of stuff that makes me a repeat buyer from any company.

These Guys are Great For Sure ! and A Great Product as well

I caught a blurb elsewhere that somebody *heard* a friend of a friend or something had a bad display screen on an Explorer and they were willing to just send the guy a replacement screen and let him swap it out himself. Not sure if that's true since it was third party type talk but if it is then I think that would be very cool if they were willing to do that in some instances for somebody savy enough to change something simple like that. It'd be nice to say be able to call them up 7 years from now and ask if they've got a GT motherboard laying around they'd be willing to ship if you had an issue. Better than sending the whole thing back in. Those boards are pretty quick and easy to swap out, and not much else to go wrong inside other than the face plate switches/pots or such. I'm sure it's just a pie in the sky dream though that they'd do that but one never knows...
