A rewarding experience

Hi all,
I was at the beach early two days ago for a short MD,I found a few coins and the usual teartabs and crown caps etc,as the morning warmed up the beach slowly started to fill up.Not wanting to attract lots of attention I started to head back to the car.
Just as I got to the footpath a young girl around 20 or so came running up saying "mister is that a metal detector".It turned out she had lost her single car key on the beach and she was in dire straits as her friend had to be at the airport in 1 hour, after explaining to her that it is an awfully big beach she assured me she knew the approximate area the key was lost in.
So off we go down to the surf edge and believe it or not within 3 sweeps of the area "hey presto one car key".They were a very happy couple and I was compensated with a big hug and of course that great feeling of satisfaction returning a lost item........cheers jim

Gday mate

Good on ya Jim...it shines a good light on us m.d. for a change
Last week I found a wallett in the sand, drivers license and bank card .
I took it around to the owners (a young guy) house that afternoon.
4 days later same beach I found a nice little 9K ring and a silver one nearby
I reckon its my small reward
I hope you get a "karma reward" also for your good deed.
Happy swinging

Nice work there kiwi-jim...

I have a story similar to that but mine involved a 'less-fortunate-person' who kindly asked me to find his cigarette lighter in some leaf litter. I found this chrome tube thing and he said yeah that's it! I said this is not a lighter, it's a part of a pipe. He had a sheepish grin and said 'uh... yeah i meant my (weed) pipe'. I found the rest of it and he was a happy chap.

Ciao
