A sad part of my life...

...When I was married the 1st time;I was a jehovas witness for a time...When we would go somewhere with our kids this time of year;invariably someone somewhere would ask us or our kids"CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DONE???READY FOR SANTA??"When we explained we dont celebrate that;there would be a BIG UNCOMFORTABLE SILENCE that followed...After being brought up celebrating Christmas,then going to that-my whole family would get together Christmas day for the traditional celebration-exchanging gifts,dinner,spending time together as family-AND WE WOULDNT BE THERE...I cant tell y'all the depth of loneliness that causes....Christmas is all about CHRIST-gift giving,dinner and family gatherings are all fringe benifits of the celebration,if you will- its difficult for me not to remember those times-And in a way,im glad I do-so I DONT make the same mistake again!!AMEN!!!PS-GOT MY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS UP YESTERDAY-GONNA BUY MORE TODAY TO ADD TO THE ALREADY PRETTY SCENE!!Maybe I will talk to the camera guru in my house(the WIFE!!!);and see if I can get a digital pic of 'em after dark,and post it fOR y'all to see our PRETTY LIGHTS!!
