A scary morning!.........

Was woken by sirens screaming by one after the other about 5:40 am. Out here in the country that means it is likely one of your neighbors. I got up and I watched out the window as they turned east and headed up the road. My wife got up too, and within a few minutes we could see the fire reaching into the sky from almost 2 miles away. I knew who's place it probably was so in the van I went. I prayed as I drove that it was not their home and that no one would get hurt. I was overcome for a moment and gave praise to the Lord when I seen it was their barn and not their home. This was a full sized hay barn with an attached pole building to it. The fire was very intense and there were many fire trucks there. Here are some pics taken from about 500 yards away. The tree's in the pics are full grown 150 plus year old maples.

Nothing in this world is ours! Prayer for the family! Thank goodness the home was spared, the wind was blowing the flames away from the home.
It puts our lives in perspective! My heart goes out to the family!

99% of the time the wind is going the other way (East) last night/this morning it was going west. God is good! :)

That is because you were praying for your neighbor's and their home! God heard and sent the wind in another direction to save it from burning! My prayer: Dear Lord, Be with this family and help them to have peace and comfort in You, even in their time of losing their barn during the Christmas Season! And Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for answering prayer for Mike and all of our prayers too! Amen! May God Bless us everyone, as Tiny Tim said in the story of Scrooge! We can count our many blessings one by one and, when we lose something dear to our family, we can still count our blessings! Amen! Ma Betty

God heard your prayers Mike. He had a reason for this fire in the barn, possibly to show He has the power to control that fire and where it goes. He was glorified.
