Had several hours to hunt while waiting for one of my exchange students to take a test, so my friend Michelle and I were blessed w/ an 1800's home-site to hunt on our first try in knocking on doors. It was Michelle's first time ever to metal detect, and now she's hooked. I found several coins... (2) wheaties 1926 and a 1947 D, some clad and this beautiful officers sword belt plate that was ID as one from 1890 to 1920.... My first plate!! YEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!

Great find buddy, one of your best yet!

Nice find. Wasn't something like that found by somebody awhile back and a picture posted. Too lazy to look back in past posts. Keep looking as there's got to be more good stuff in that yard.

Congrats on the great find and may you find more of those kinds of relics! :clapping: God Bless! Betty
