i picked this marble pen holder up at a yard sale yesterday & there's a different US quarter in it i"v never seen before i was just interested to know what it commemorates & what year it was minted ( as i cant see the other side ) & i thought who better to ask than you guys.

Those quarters were actually minted in 1975 and 1976. A good bar bet is to ask somebody to find you a 1975 quarter. Tell them you'll pay them 100 bucks for every one they find and if they don't find any they owe you a beer. (Psssst. There are no US quarters dated 1975.)
