I hit a park about 25 miles south of my house and found my first seated dime, its an 1887 and its in real worn shape but thats ok. I also found 2 shield Nickels an 1868 and and 188? these are only my 2nd and 3rd ever found. found a 1916 wheat also. I'm really liking these parks here in Nebraska and Iowa.sorry if the pic quality is so low, need to get another camera. Thanks for looking...HH

Been snowin and a blowin here in the WNY area so it's nice to see a few good digs from time to time til we can get back out....
Great job and some very nice finds.......
What setup R U using ???
HH

WTG Ray. I would take any kind of seated in any condition at any time. That's one that hasn't caught my Explorer's attention yet. Maybe one of these days......... :) Congrats.

I have the Explorer XS also. What kind of settings are you using? I know everyone has their own settings and change them depending on the conditions, but I always like to see what other XS users are using. Thanks. HH.

I'm using IM -14, deep on, fast off, ferris tones, gain 7, I never use the number sceen. I dont use any discr at all, I just work real slow, and ignoring the shallow coins, but digging pretty much all signals. The Nickels that I just found sounded nothing like a nickel, it was lower, but it was more to the left of the screen, both of them were. see below, and they did bounce some.

Thanks Ray. I noticed when our club hunted the old scout camp last month most of us with the Minelabs noticed that the silver coins didn't seem to give out the silver coin sounds. Most were deep and the ground was very wet. Keep up the great finds and maybe I will at least have some silver to post after our next club hunt on the 25th at this old bible camp that has been around for about 70 years. HH.

I have totally noticed that also with deeper silver sometimes its hard to determine if its silver or just a penny, but thats ok, I like the surprise when a silver dime pops out. I hope ya find tons of silver at the club hunt...HH
