A weird week.

So I met that one young guy who detects, he asked me if I ever detected this one place, I said no, I drive right on by there everyday...so HE goes and finds 3 GOLD RINGS, a gold medallion, and a nickle from 1885 that could be worth 500 plus! And he did it all in 2 DAYS! I am very happy for him, but a little disappointed in myself too, out sweeping clad for my coin count instead of thinking gold like I should have been. I hit the totlots this am, that one ring is 18k GERS...Only saving grace this week is my count, its 8519 and 703.98. Its out there fellas...

Mud don't go there. You got over 8,500 coins and over $700. That is a great year of detecting. Your doing great my friend. Stay out the should off's and would off's land. You can never win in that place. Good work, no great work this year......Z

Another great count hunt. The coins in your sites must have babies over night to replenish for you. To each his own as far as what gets hunted. HH jim tn

Thanks guys...its been bothering me all week for not having the sense to read a spot like I should be able to do by now...a good wake up call for me for sure. This kids a really good guy, family man, been detecting a long time, so we are sort of staying in touch through text messages when we get out. Flesh sharpens flesh you know.. I went back out this afternoon and scored another 27 coins for 2.49, and another mood ring, thats two of those &%&# things today and four rings for today. I went to this one football field and ran that F70 as hot as I could just to practice Jimmin' silver. It really bangs so hard on deep Q's it nearly knocks a fellers shoes off!
Zeek, it sure has been fun this year trying to beat your last years coin count, can you believe you had that kind of effect? Thanks for the inspiration and the tips on Zeekin' with the F70!
