Abe Lincoln campaign coin. I almost tossed it

The signal hit nice and clear. But do to all the junk here I was wondering do I waste my time and dig up another lawn mowed soda can.
The signal stayed the same now matter what way I scanned it. It was a solid hit but numbers I never seen as of yet. It came out with the plug. When I first looked at it I thought it was the bottom of an old fuse. Into the junk pouch it went. When I was home I figured I better clean it. I started to see ridges on the side and when Licoln 1860 came out of the dirt I threw the brakes on. Got the magnifier out and same Hannibal on the back and Lincoln on the front. Below is the link to what it should look like and my pic of today, Who knows maybe the officer who lost that CSA buckle might have held this coin?

If your gonna swing - give it 100%- You never know what your leaving behind????
Remember the is no end of the size and shape of Jewlery.
I found three rings at the lake bottom just by digging up that can you know is a can and then swinging over that hole again!!
Good Luck

I see your Gold Piece is still on the Kellyco Site-WTG

Congrats on that coin. First time I have seen one of those.

Whoa that is just too cool!!! There's nothing like digging up a piece of history. Gets you to wondering how things got there...

I might go to the museum to have this cleaned. I dont want the black stuff in the middle to disappear. So letting it soak in a cleaner or electic method might be bad. Any suggestions?
