Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar

Why does Paul have such a disparaging view of the incident with Hagar? Gal. 4:21-31, Genesis 16. What crucial point about salvation is Paul making through his use of this Old Testament story?

Galatians 4:21-31 Abraham

I have learned through trials and disappointments of rushing ahead of God instead of patiently waiting upon Him to fulfill my prayer requests, which He knew weren't the best way to handle the situations, so now I have learned to wait upon the Lord and He will renew my strength and answer my prayers in His way for my good and His purpose! Yes, I am still sick, but I know my Lord is good to me and in His time and in His own way, I will be renewed in spiritual strength, body and in my soul whether it be on earth or in heaven, as God in Jesus' precious name knows what is best for me and He will not allow me to carry burdens more than I can bear, for by allowing Jesus to bear them for me, I can endure all things and be more than an overcomer in His wonderful and mighty love! Amen! Ma Betty
