Accessory Coil

What are yall's thoughts on an accessory coil for beach hunting. Should I get a 5" or 8" or both. What brand? Your suggestions would be appreciated.

I wouldn't get the 5", unless you have a ton of trash your dealing with. I have a 5", and it works great for really trash areas, but I've never encountered that much trash at any of our beaches, at least. The main problem with a small coil like that, especially at the beach, is it doesn't cover enough area to hardly get anything done. I'd go for a 12 or maybe even 14" or bigger for the beach. That way, you get more depth than a 10.5", and your able to cover more area in a given time, which I think is a real asset at the beach. Check some of the earlier posts. Mike and a few of the guys talk about some different coils and their feelings about them. Happy hunting.
