would like to ask all those who have the ace 250 if they truly like this detector. How is the depth with this unit. what are the pros and cons about this before i buy it.As you might have seen,i do have some luck with my GTA1000 but I have been reading all the posts on here about the 250 and maybe its time to make a change. I do a lot of tot lots and I do pretty good there but would like to change my searching to maybe older site. I know there is a wealth of info to be given here and that is why i have asked. thanks in advance

I think for the money you couldn't do better than to buy a 250! It's got to be the hottest tector on the market! The ACE 250 is a coin hunting machine!:garrett:

Yeah the Ace is a good detector and don't empty your pocket. Howard

I recently was detecting a local park and was "up against" another detectorist in the park that was using an expensive top of the line "black and white unit". He packed up and before going home he asked how I was doing.

"Oh I see you have one of those ACE250's"

"I have heard alot about them"

" I said yes I have been doing well today"

He said "so have I" and pulled out his one hand full of coins.

I pulled out my two hands full and then a few more that I could not get out of the pouch:thumbup:

All he said was WOW and packed up and left.;)

I don't need to go any further do I?

We both were there about 2 hours I believe

Bottom line I love BOTH of mine ( I am an owner of 2 units)

Unit works very well.

I have a bh qd2 I have been reading about the ace 250 . I'm thinking of getting one .are they they that much better than mine and how good is pin pointer ? If I can get a new detector for 50 bucks why not?

I've had 4 other tectors including a White's and Bounty Hunter and I wouldn't want to trade the Ace to have any of 'em back.
I'm very happy with this yeller feller. The others were all good, but this thing is special...............

P.S. Check out www.kellycodetectors.com.

how is the depth of this machine. are we talking 3-4 inches or more or less. does it hunt in all different land conditions.

I love it and will be using it for a very loooooong time. I love it for tot lots and anything else. My deepest coin was about 8 inches. I have found Iron relics as deep as 10 inches. I am really happy with it.

I have a closet full of high end machines but the 250 is what I hunt with the most. Everything you hear about it is true. Just get one and find out for yourself. :)

Bill

Just buy one and try it yourself , the machine is unbeavable , i use it every time i get a chance to go out MDing ,With THE PPointer of course
the 2 togeather are a real hard hiting machine , no problems . the depth the machine will hit 8-9in i hit my silver dollar 9in deep, so dont always get hung up on depth like uncle willy said its is the best choice i ever made ....

I have been finding targets in the 8-10 inch range most of the time here in Fl.

If the soil is wet I can get to 12''

I have yet tried the beach but I think that is about as far as you can go with any machine!
