Actual detecting post .... EXCUSE ME!

One of my detecting buddies showed me a coin he found on an area beach that he identified as a 1600's silver pillar. He gave it to me to clean it up .... says he saw one for sale on the internet for $500 to $600.

Well, just before cleaning it up, I took a magnifying glass to it ... bummer .....
