Depends on what you want it for. On Maui they have organized trips for scuba, snuba and snorkelling generally to Molikini. If you are taking a detector and are going to use it at the beaches, your equipment would come in handy but it would also be bulky to ship. Good luck on your trip. I'll be on Kauai and Oahu for a few weeks in March looking for some of the same treasure Steve found.
