I posted this message on the Beech forum, but this might be the best place for this question.
I have a Tiger Shark and have been working the fresh water for one year. My question is would there be an advantage for me to buy the CS7umd. Would it find as much gold and work as well in fresh water lakes as the Tiger. I plan to move to Fla in the next year or so and know but still would like to work fresh water here.
Thanks
Laurence

I did post this on the beach forum also.
The CS7 will out perform the Tesoro for sensitivity, and depth. It will also handle the nasty black sand that gives fits to Shark and other VLF detectors.
We need to realize they are other factors to figure in. Pi detectors do not discriminate. This means that your going to be digging a lot of iron. I said iron, and not pull tab trash because you want to dig all trash out side of iron if you want the jewelry. They may be times you will have need for a VLF discriminating detector, your Tesoro would do well.
One more fly in the ointment. The CS7UMD may not be available in the US for a while. CScope/New Force is doing a little re-structuring.
Hang in there for a bit, and the new Headhunter Pi will be out, and it out performs the CS7.

BILL: THE AQUASTAR WILL STILL OUT DO THE NEW HEADHUNTER PI COMMING OUT WONT IT? I THOUGHT YOU HAVE PROBABLY USED THE HEADHUNTER PI PROTOTYPE BY NOW?

The new Head hunter looks a nice idea very neat and light looking but I bet the batterys will have a short life running PI on a pair of pp3's!
I would have a guess of about 2 hours?

Thanks Mr Bill,
Thats quite acceptable for a couple of detecting sessions considering the neat size.
Rob..
