Advice on detector

Hi, I currently have an exterra 705 which is a brilliant detector for it designed for however what it is not so good at is wet sand and shallow water beach work. Apparently due to the frequency set up and high conductivity of wet sand etc. I was thinking I might buy a second detector specifically for wet sand beach work, one you can submerge the coil without and problems. I'm asking on this site as I think the AT Pro maybe the way to go or if anyone has other suggestions I would appreciate them. Looking at spending between $700 and $1200. Aaron

[size=large]if you're looking at the atp you'll save a few hundred. as long as it proves to not have any of the problems as of late it should fit you.
there are other machines but the atp is water proof should you drop it. and it does real well on land.

All VLF detectors are going to perform the same in wet sand. If you want a detector that will punch deep in wet sand, then a detector like the Infinium, or Sovereign/Excalibur. Being waterproof would be an important thing to consider. The Explorer's will punch deep as well but if you lift the coil above the height of the control housing for any reason, then water will run up the shaft, into the housing and fry the circuit board.
