I have gotten a 2500 few months ago. Im seeking any type of advise of where i should be looking for good old coins and such. I know old churchs houses, i what somethings i never even thought about as good hunting spot. Thanks

good advise. Check out this forum.
I even tried some of his favorite spots and started doing well. Never really thought of those BLVD's before.

You can look up the places where people used to gather in the old days. Like old picnic grounds any outside places they used to hold dances, old fair grounds even old campgrounds are a good place to hunt. The boulavards (between the sidewalk and the road) are a good spot as well....Just some thoughts for ya. Good Luck

Jeff,
Drive around the older areas of your town and look for vacant lots where houses once stood. These are my favorite places to hunt and find the old stuff.Your city will often raze old buildings ,houses ,etc and these city owned lots are great places to search.
Good luck!

as I recall and will tell you tons of different spots to try and ways to detect them. Can't go wrong buying this book, just don't recall the title.
Might be:
The New Modern Metal Detectors
or
The New Successful Coin Hunting

An excellent book to read. If you do what he tells you in the book, you WILL find lots of goodies. I know it was my first metal detecting book that I read, in fact it was like a bible on detecting to me. I highly recomend it! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
