Air test

I know and understand that air test are relative to many other factors, but has anyone done any first hand air test for the LTD BP verses the standard F75 DE mode?

I remember reading that Dankowski found that the ltd was deeper on air tests than the standard, but that it was the same in the ground. The real improvement would be in the ground for the relic hunter, but again not with depth.

For those that did not read NASA Toms article on the LTD depth.
He stated the depth was all most equal in the ground but the LTD could have a
4 to 5 inch air gap and hit the same target , a dime in his test bed at 12 inches
in his ground , That does not mean it would hit a dime at 16 inches if you
rub the coil because it wont.

It does mean if hunting in woods or a corn field and the like, you should do better than
the standard F75 achieving max depth.

I read that too.
The additional air gap from the coil to the top of the ground is the main improvement of the LTD.
