Ran my F 70 in my back yard for kicks, found a few deep coins and things my Tesoros missed. House was built in 1950.
I tumbled this jump pin and it is sterling. they dont gold plate sterling do they?, dont know what that cheap looking gold finish was. Any way I wander what era?, it had push pins not a straight pin thing with a catch

Man! Sweet finds again.:clapping: Yes, they do electroplate over silver, I found a couple of rings made that way.

WTG Campnagle!! In regards to your "what era question", I know at least from VIETNAM WAR Era and previous to that, and the STERLING Ones were
JUMP SCHOOL GRADUATION AIRBORNE WINGS (known as "BLOOD WINGS") during the Vietnam War!! The ordinary replacements sold in
the PX or Clothing Issue Store were I think -POT METAL!! I was not AIRBORNE, but I have several friends that were, and that is what was told to me
by some of them!! Hope this helps, Les Robinson
