All Metal Mode (GTI 2500)

Hi Everyone,
Ive used the all metal mode and find it very sensitive to movement. Raising the loop 1-2" will allow it to sound off. Ive followed the instructions when using this mode though. It just seems that coil movement is very restricted (in a feild or at the beach.) Can anyone explain the fast track and auto track modes. Im quite experienced with the machine, but I always run into problems with all-metal as I hardly ever use it. I know its very sensitive and very deep seeking. Can I end up in the end scanning the coil like I do in the discriminate modes?(really nice and uninterupted)
Any help would be nice
Thanks Jason.

Jason. Some ground is so hot Ground balance is very critical so critical that auto GB just isn't close enough. Some of Georgia is that way. I always use manual GB you can get exact that way. Never run the coil withen 2" of the ground this is below the GB crossover line and will always give you trouble. Anyway go to manual GB and bob the coil from about 1 foot to about 3" or 4" from the ground. Use the +- buttons to level the changes in volume until its as stable as you can get.
In addition some soils require a reduction in sensitivity to operate smooth. In all metal the breaks in sensitivity are at 9 and 7 I think, anyway it doesn't break with every notch as it does in the disc. modes. Hope this helps

Yu are missing the point expect a noisy mode as its all metal and will sound off to everything. This mode will go as deep as any on the market and does take some getting used to..
