All the Vintage Metal Detectors you could ask for.............

Sven

Well-known member
Noticed the forum name change, so I thought I would post this for everyone who is interested in vintage detectors.
My website has full version free downloadable catalogs from the 1970's to 2000's from most manufactures.

Very nice! Thanks for the memories.... Quite a collection. Those old White's Beachcombers are downright weird. I've never seen those before.

I can't seem to download any of them tho.... The d/l just hangs there....

The Ubuntu Cloud Server I have been using for catalog storage and downloading is closing down in June. I am in the process of migrating all catalogs to my website for storage.
They will then be down loadable directly off my website. It's going to take a bit of time to migrate all the catalogs. Then there shouldn't be any downloading issues.

I have just completed the Bounty Hunter migration. Next will be the Compass catalogs.

Thanks Sven for sharing this with us, Great stuff something for everyone.

Remember seeing the Cue line here before, For some reason can't find it maybe it's me and somehow overlooking the catalog.

Thanks again for posting the link,

People seem to Under Estimate the Good Ol BFO. My first detector, $50.00 1972 Made in someones Gerage called the Crusader. I did get a 2 Page News letter for a year. The Coil looked like someone dropped a Coil of Wire in some form, Some wire could be seen through the Epoxy on the bottom. The Tuning Cap was of the Blade type. You had to Retune every 10 or 20 steps. Didnt bother filing off the Over flow of Epoxy, I've seen 5th Graders do better soldering. Found my first Silver Quarter with that thing 10 minutes after putting batteries in it. It found me my first Gold Bearing Black Sands. Do you have any Idea how long it took me to convence my mom working a waitress job how bad I needed one? My dad was not a Option. LOL

I've bult a number of BFO detectors sense then. None worked as good. LOL
