Made a quick 1 and 1/2 hour hunt in one of the campsite fields after work. The clads getting scattered and thinner. I went out in jewelry mode which is suicide in these fields because the pull tabs average between 200 to 300 for every nickel.. I did manage a nickel and got a solid hit dead center on the gold range. When I dug it and the massive ring fell from the dirt with stones shining I said there it is. As I inspected it further I saw a tiny spot where the plating was worn. Oh well a good moment of excitement anyways. My 2nd plated ring with my GTI. I also have got one silver ring with it. $1.47.5 Cents. The half penny had me thinking gold as I was digging it.
