Hope this post is related to this Pi forum, Bought a Uniprobe from Mr. Bill and glad I did <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">........The Uniprobe is a great Pi probe designed to be used with any detector and can be used as a Pi detector with an 8" or 11" coil. Even at it's lowest setting the probe out performs all others except the SunRay probes. However, Once the user becomes familiar with the unit he/she can then increase the sensitively by adjusting the "threshold" making the probe match or excel over the SunRay probe.
I hooked up a Pi coil to the Uniprobe and during the first several minutes of operation the unit worked well unit it shuts off for some reason. Must be a bad coil? Anyway, I'll have to hookup another coil and try the unit out at the beach to see how well the unit performs as a Pi detector.
I don't see how anyone can hunt without a decent probe, It just makes coin/target recovery so much easier.
