I just seen a case of those milk bottles at a yard sale for 10 dollars , I bought to of the bigger milk bottles for 5 dollars. Did not have room for the crate of small ones.

That was a good buy and I would have bought the small ones also! They would be worth more sold one at a time to collectors! But if money is scarce and no room to haul them then I wouldn't be able to buy them either! :) God Bless! Betty

Remember some of those. My brothers used the Vitalis and Brylcream like mad. I used to get my cokes out of the chest type machine and also the stand up model. I think the chest type had the small bottles that you had to slide through this maze of metal to get it out. My little town where I grew up in was way behind the times. I grew up using a crank telephone until around the mid '60s. We also had an outhouse until I was in fifth grade, and it was a two-seater to boot! I am only 52 but I still remember some of those things. Funny thing is that I use the Vitalis now with what little hair I have left. Who was the guy who promoted it on 76 Sunset Strip show? I think that was the name of it. Was it Cookie?

Yes, they called him Cookie and would say, Cookie, Cookie lend me your comb! It might have been a song, but just don't remember any more! :) God Bless! Betty

I remember them all...I must qualify as an old timer! When I was a kid my dad would take us to a little store that served the best hot dogs in town and the coldest Cokes. I will never forget sticking my hand into the super cold ice water to pull out a 6 1/2 ounce Coke that would burn and bring tears to your eyes as you drank it. In those days (the early 70's) a Coke was a real treat to us. I think the cheapest stamp I can remember was 6 cents though.
