Although it's raining, the silver is down to a trickle :detecting:

Didn't get to hunt much last week as I hunted with Jim (time4me) at HMB last Tuesday and home down with something funky (not from Jim  ), so I was down until I decided I couldn't stand being in the house any longer and got out for a few hours Friday afternoon, and Saturday, and for a bit today.

The camp is getting challenging to hunt, it's almost mandatory to remove overgrowth or fallen limbs in order to recover targets now, and even that is getting sparse. I spent some time moving fallen limbs and managed to eek out a few more goodies including another silver Washington quarter, a '44 merc, an old key and a silver plated ring. I went over an area that we had hit before, and got a solid penny signal and recovered a nice sterling silver fork. What's interesting about this fork is that it doesn't have the usual monogram on the handle, instead it's engraved with the name "Kathleen" and on the reverse it's dated "12-25-'11" and marked "PAT. 1911 STERLING" with lion, anchor and letter G hallmarks which equate to the Gorham "Plymouth" pattern. The date is interesting because of course it's Christmas, so was the sterling set a Christmas gift, Wedding gift, or Birthday gift ?

I hit a couple of other spots and at one spot found a '44 silver Canadian dime, and a '64 silver Roosevelt. Tried another area and found my first "2 Pence" coin (thought I had a token for a second :lmfao: ) and another '44 merc that needed a good baking soda cleaning as it was black.

Here's the loot:

The latest batch of silver coin finds puts me at 46 silver coins since last months MD Club meeting. As long as I complete my taxes today, I'm planning to go out all day tomorrow to see if I can make my stretch goal of 50 silver coins by tomorrow nights club meeting, four elusive silver coins is all I need and I'm going to try like heck to make it :beers:

Thanks for looking and HH,
Brian
