Although not at all knowledgable about it, I love taking digital photos. I just try to learn by doing & I've found I can take REALLY cool pics right a

Any suggestions or constructive criticism is welcome.

This is a shot I took early this last weekend before the windstorm came to tear off the last of our oak leaves. The sky was heavily overcast and had been drizzling all day. But there was a thin crack in the cloud cover on the horizon right after the sun itself sank out of sight. This made the sunlight below the horizon actually reflect off the the bottom of the cloud ceiling and made everthing seem as though it were on fire!

This is a photo I took just 6 months before my best and oldest friend, Jake, passed away. We'd been out metal detecting and he took up his normal overwatch position where he could keep an eye on both myself and my wife at the same time. I really miss him...terribly. This photo was taken very late in the day. In fact, it was too dark to see where we were hunting. Jake was the only thing still in the sun since he was up on the hillside.

This is our newest addition to the family. His name is TJ, which is short of Ti Jacques (Cajun for Little Jake). He had just spent the afternoon doing early field training outside. He came in, ate dinner and then "passed out" in the last of the sunlight filtering in through my office window.
