Each site is different, where EMI is high I use bp mode and lower the sensitivity until quiet, there has been times where the EMI was so bad de or pf had to be used. At another site I might be able to run bp mode and a sensitivity setting of 87 and the machine is silent. In bad ground where trash is very limited then bp and a discrimination of 8 or so will do the trick. The main thing is to find the settings where the machine is fairly quiet with the coil still and in the air. This machine is very versatile, sometimes it just takes a little adjusting to find the sweet spot on settings.mudpuppy said:Wow...that was cool Mark!...could really hear the modulated/proportional audio kicking in as you started dropping sens too...so a fellow would be better off running a lighter sens, and boost mode for a cleaner audio understanding of the target and depth right?
