An hour or so of scrounging in the bark chips this evening with the 250 + 12-incher....

Pretty good haul for a hrs worth. But here's the question Bill....When was the last time ya worked for 2.30 an hour???:rofl:

Take care

I just ordered my GF a 250 with an extra 4.5" coil for the trashy areas, I was wondering how hard is it to pinpoint with the 12" coil? She has used my 1350 twice and loved going out and finding a bunch of junk, so I got her her own machine..... another convert!!

Not that long ago and it bought a helluva lot more then than it will buy now. If I had of had one of today's detectors back in the fifties I wouldn't have had to work. :) Detectors back then were unheard of and coinshooting hadn't even been dreamed of yet and the ground was loaded with coins.

Carnivals and fairs were big back then and one could have hit all those sites after the carnival left and made a fortune. The last time our dollar was worth a dollar was 1947. Now it's worth about nine cents or less and going down fast.

Back in the twenties Germany had such terrible inflation that the smallest bill they printed was $25,000 and that would buy a postage stamp. Employees were let off work three times each day so they could purchase what they needed before the price went up. That could happen here very easily.
