That was nothing compared to this morning. 7cents was involved in a wreck this morning as he went to work. Praise GOD he is okay and was able to go to work injury free. The wreck was not his fault and involved a semi or two, lots of 360 action and some head on traffic....whew! Our car probably didn't come out too well and I hate that, but it could be much, much worse. Sure hope it can be fixed as it is reliable, paid for and it would be very difficult to get something that even compares for what we would get outta the thing if its totalled (and it wouldn't take much damage to do so!).I am so thankful for GOD's protection this morning!

That's a relief nobody was hurt! HHH.

I told someone this morning, I don't know why these things are happening, but I know WHO is helping us through it! I just spoke with 7cents again and he is not feeling quite as invincible now that the adrenaline has worn off...I think the seat belt and impact will cause him to be quite sore for some time to come :( The car, after inspection in the daylight, is in pretty bad shape. Totalled for sure :(

Do not walk with out some compensation for damage to back muscles. I is rare that there is no long term pain associated. I have been in several wrecks and the twisting and jolting really can cause long term soft tissue damage. the insurance companies will down play this and can be really crappy about this but you make sure sure that he does not sign off on any injury claims until you are 100% satisfied that there is no long term pain. Sometimes the pain will be gone in a week or two, but there always seems to be some small spot that will bother for years intermittently.

I'm not suggesting that he make things up but this really is the reality if you have not been through this you will learn. Back pain may last for many years. I have a spot that still bothers me from time to time, from a wreck I was in when I was 16, I will be 45 in November. I am not some pile of couch mush who has no muscle tone or does not get exercise, nor was I then.

If the car he was in was that nice, low miles and whatever it is to cause you to think it was special, you should ask for an "exact replacement". If it was an '93 celebrity move on, ya know? A little common sense goes a long way, Insurance companies can be bullies, it is their job to pay out as little as possible.

Good Luck
Jeff

Amen Liz our loved ones are more precious to God and us than any materialistic thing, but I do hope and pray all works out well with your car and nothing more comes to upset your days in life but as the world turns trials and problems do happen but with trusting in Jesus and leaning nn Him, we endure and overcome for getting through them all! May God Bless and keep on protecting and providing for you and yours! Amen! Ma Betty

What a ride. There was two semis in the right lane and one was letting a suv out. I did not see that coming. I was in the left lane going past the semi when I see the suv come out turning left I swurved to miss him but he clipped me. Spinning me into the other two lanes in on coming traffic. I spun twice and almost got hit by several other cars. Man I know without a doubt GOD was watching over me and the angels had there hands full keeping everyone safe. I was on a four lane rode with a turning lane in the center. Thanks for all the prayers.

I see many blessings in your post. Sorry about the car, but praise the Lord Travis is not hurt!

Thanks, Mike. Yep, material things can be replaced or we can do without, but I sure can't do without my sweet thang! I can, however, do without all this gray hair he is causing...LOl (just kidding, kinda!)

Thanks, Rick! It was Trav's metal detecting car! Lol.... I heard someone has been catfishin'! Did you show your woman how to fish or did she show you up?!?

Well, here's the deal...Travis has been in soooo many wrecks, honestly I couldn't count them. He was in a tractor accident, has flipped four wheelers, flipped vehicles, lost a finger, etc. It would be VERY hard to differentiate one ache from another....he is going to be moaning and groaning with arthritis til the end of time. I am quite certain this wreck did not help matters, but time will tell in the next few days how he really is. The car is nothing special, but it is special to us as it is the most dependable, best handling, comfortable one we've ever had. It brought home our daugher from the hospital, saved my husbands life today, is economical to drive (30+ miles per gallon) and still ran like new with 180,000 miles on it. It is nothing special to the insurance company, this i'm sure. We don't expect a lot....only what it is worth. Despite it's miles, it was in perfect shape and believe me, I know what its worth. It is paid for and has been for six years and with what we will get out of it, we will not be able to replace it. Just a sad fact. We've made a commitment for me to not work and to complete my degree and taking out a loan for a new or any used car cannot happen. You make sacrifices and do what has to be done. That's why I hate the car being torn up, but it's life. Our insurance company is local and we are well known in the community, they will make it right. Luckily, I have NO issues standing up for ourselves if I know what I'm doing is right....I tend to handle all our business :) We have never had to sign off on our injuries or lack of them before and luckily the driver at fault had the same insurance company. I do know what you are saying though...thanks for your concern.

Travis and Mrs Travis,
I sure can relate to all the accidents and aches and pains. Been in more than my fair share of auto wrecks. something like 21 or 22. Relax only 1 was my fault. I am really not a bad driver. I had 1 truck that got slid into 3 winters in a row, and rear ended 1x prior to that. I know it sounds bad but that thing was crash magnet. I had it repaired time after time and came out with a profit each time. Glad we will get to be all kinds of healthy and happy in heaven!

Have sent prayers and am glad everyone involved seems to be A OK. Hope you guys find a good replacement car.
Jeff

Oh Yeah, I only had a passenger once so I am OK to ride along with and no one has ever gotten in a wreck while I was a passenger. Oh never mind. Thats 2x for both of those and the 22 goes to 24.

Happy everybody is ok,just like Ma said material things can be replaced! HHH.

Glad you're ok! I've spent most of my "9 lives", and I thank God for letting me be able to still get out and swing a detector.
