It's was winter and I decided to scan the basement in my house.
I was getting the normal responses from the water line, sewer,etc..
Then all of a sudden I was getting a strong repetable signal that read a solid silver response ! well needless to say I figured a small hole in the concrete would'nt be a problem. That hole wound up turning into a foot and a half ! Boy....the wife was livid to say the least. wound up being an old rusted piece of metal.
It just goes to show, when you first get the fever you also get the bug ! now seven years later my wife still cracks about the family treasure hunter. LOL ! but that guy in california takes the cake!
i can't wait to show the wife when she gets home from shopping.
thanks for the post.
Rusty in Chicago.

My wife was just shaking her head as I read your post. Her response... "there but for the Grace of God..."

The biggest hole I've dug was 6' X 8' X 3' deep... but that was for a pond in my backyard. Too bad I didn't MD back then :)
