I'm selling my Anderson 42" Straight Rod(Travel Rod) because of my poor hearing and wearing a hearing aid in each ear I am getting sever loud buzzing (feed back). I cannot get Minelab to put me on a water proof connection so I can change the headphones, so I have decided to not use the Excalibur II.
I have mounted my Excalibur II and used the rod one time so I cannot say it is new, but it is in perfect condition, as close to new as you can get.
These rod's are great to balance out the weight of your control housing and battery box, giving you a much longer hunt with out tiring you or causing fatigue. It also includes the knob guard to protect the control knobs from being hit and being damaged.
They can be broken down to be packed for trips in your car,on airlines, and when taking cruise ships. They can be taken apart for easy cleaning to keep the sand out so the rod won't lock up. These rods are light weight and very strong, and all connections are very tight keeping them from having movement in the rod while hunting.
