I am reading your book and realize you wrote the book for people like me. I go out there and dig and dig and dig. After months of digging mostly trash I start to get the picture I should know a little more about the detector. This is the way I have always done it. It was kind of the only way to do it. You go out and get the feel of the detector in the field.
I realize that there is a better, faster way to get to know the detector. To know and adjust the controls for better results, instead of just stumbling along and hope something will happen to give me the edge that I am looking for. It kind of puts me in control instead of me being lead by the detector until I get it. Most of the time I just get a small understanding and miss most of the advantages that the detector offers.
Thanks a million for the great info in your book......Z
