Andy's Explorer books

Okay.......I have been metal detecting for a number of years.......have used many but settled on White's as my detector of choice. Recently got a bunch of Minelab Explorer II's at an auction and after selling many, decided to try one out myself. Well.......nothing like the White's! I am 52 years old and kinda dense (according to my wife) so I am thinking........I ain't gonna live long enough to learn this machine outside of "quickstart". Well I tinkered, fiddled, tweeked...........and cussed a great deal. It seemed hopeless.......until I saw the re-occurring references to Andy Sabisch's books. So I finally gave in and purchased the two Explorer books. They arrived on Monday and after just briefly leafing through them, I have come to understand the functions and capabilities of this great machine to a level I never dreamed! Written in a clear informative manner, I must justify the great interest and recommendation of these learning tools. If you ever want to learn these machines in the shortest possible time, I cannot say enough......get Andy's books! Don't wait another day! You will be miles in front of those who choose to do it on their own. THANKS Andy! I owe you!

Sort of a detectorists info(Andy's books) versus a tech's(manual) kind of aspect coupled together should shorten your learning period..Yep Andy writes a good book...

Pay attention to the settings many use on this part of the forum. Often a bit unusual but explained well about their justification for the oddity. jim
