Thanks for the announcement Randy!
I can't wait to get one. I'm looking forward to a "Garrett free" household.

Thanks for the heads up Randy! #$%@#%@#$^@#$^ has it listed for $169.95 and available on July 30th

fair pricing IMHO ill deff get one of these if my white bullseye II fails.... not that im hoping for that to happen

MSRP is $169.95, but actual selling price (once the initial rush is over) will be around $135.
Well worth it for the switchable alarm and adjustable sensitivity.

I can see ML dropping the price real fast since the market is flooded with the Pro Pointers.

IMHO the switchable is no big deal but it's a good selling point for some ppl.

As far as The adjustable sensitivity, I want it on MAX all the time.

The Auto shutoff would be nice but maybe have it beep 2 or 3 times real fast and then shut off. Not this 3 to 4 min long process it goes through of beeps before it shuts off.

That's just my thoughts on it.

I'm sure there will continue to be a market for the other pinpointers available. That's what makes the world go around. But I have a different perspective on the Pro-Find 25. Although I always use headphones (and can't hear the speaker well on my other pinpointers), having the ability to shut it off prolongs the life of the battery AND doesn't make me a "musical attraction" for kids at the park. The adjustible Sensitivity allows me to crank it up for use as a Probe, or dial it down for precision pinpointing. Probes are great for working in areas with minimal trash. But Pinpointing is especially useful in finding coins in the holes with tiny bits of iron along the edges. And I also think the "intermittent tone" of the automatic shut off is a great idea. I've been guilty of laying my probe down while digging, and leaving it there when I walked away. If it would have beeped after a few minutes, I may have been able to find it much easier than wandering around the corn field for over an hour. I consider the "shut off feature" as having the best of both worlds.... if I forget to turn it off when I put it in the hoster, I'll hear the beeps and simply shut it off. If I happen to leave it laying beside a hole in the middle of a corn field (again), I have a better chance of finding it if it sends out signals for a few minutes. JMHO HH Randy

I have said for a LONG time someone needs to make a two tone pinpointer. Nothing more aggrivating that the pinpointer going off and you dig and dig only to get a nail. Being two tone would eliminate all of that! low tone for iron, higher tone for all else. Now that would be a HOT selling pinpointer

For now I'll be keeping my Garrett pro pointer because I just purchased it last month but the Minelab sounds nice.

I will get one.Just have my Garrett as a backup if losing the new Minelab pro pointer.

I've been detecting for 40 some years and still have never had an appreciation for a pinpointer. I just cut a plug the width of my shovel where I know the target is, run the clump over the coil, break it in half, determine which half the target is in, you all know the drill. A pinpointer just seems slower to me, but I'm a relic hunter who uses a shovel and fast target recovery allows me to dig more targets, good or bad. Maybe if I were a coin hunter I'd have a use for one.

The Pro-Find 25 is single frequency VLF and has a new Detector Interference Free (DIF) technology. It removes false signals and noise that is associated with other pinpointers.

My Pistol Probe(PI) is very deep and about 5" on a US nickle and I do not think the Pro-Find 25(VLF) will be as deep, but my Pistol Probe(PI) interferes very badly with my GP-3000(PI) so this new Pro-Find 25(VLF) is what I want for less interference while pinpointing for my PI detector.
