Another 14K ring today and 62 coins

Really didn't feel like going out today. Told wife I would probably be out for less than an hour. Well I was out four hours singing like an old fool. Found 62 coins 1 of them 1952 wheat, a little metal cross and a 14K ring with 12 diamonds. It is premature because will not know if diamonds are real until Monday, oh does the gold sparkle.

Thanks tvr my hope is that the diamonds are real. I am walking around with the ring on my finger and now I know how those Rappers feel with all that gold and diamonds on.
Jim tn You don't have to worry about me catching that trophy fish from you because all my poles are on the bottom of the lake. Never did catch anything fishing. Oh I did get sunburn a few times.
I have high hopes that things run in 3's because about a week ago found my first gold ring in a very long time. Now this one. I am going out today with knowing that the next gold is just around the corner.
I just go out and listen to 40's and 50's music in between sites eating licorice reading maps and enjoying. It could only be better if I was eating liver sausage sandwiches and drinking Mountain Dew listening to some good Polka music.

Brian from a school yard. It was a iffy signal but just strange enough to investigate. The ring must have been there (about 5" down) for some time because it was caked with black dirt. Tell you the truth I thought it was a iron ring painted gold. I could see dull gold and looked like dark iron showing through in places. I just put it in my pouch with the coins because I thought it was just another junk ring. But once I started washing the dirt off and started to shine it up the gold got brighter.

Guys, guys first of all remember your dealing with a near normal person. I have always been like, strange.
Furious T geeez I hope you are right. Markq I am sitting with it on my finger and feel like a king. It is a wow ring but I have been deceived before by jewelry. Until I find out I will assume it is real but I have been wrong more times than I would like to admit. Jim Tn I use licorice because I get out there early in the morning and sometimes don't come home until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Being a little chubby guy, the hunger gets mighty powerful by then. If I eat licorice it kind of takes the hunger away. When I am coming home after a long day and very tired Polka music is very up lifting to listen to. Try it. Niel I don't have a scale. I am a coin hunter and I pick up jewelry by accident while hunting for coins. I am not complaining when I find jewelry but if I was just going out to find jewelry or old coins I would come home most of the time with nothing.

As a matter of fact I do listen to Nora Jones, great. As far as eating slim jims hot air comes out both ends.... On stepping out on her... When we would get into a spat, she would say go, see if you can find another woman that would put up with you. Had to think that one over a few times... One of the drivers found a bouquet of flowers on his bus and brought them into the station for lost and found. The clerk said he could not send those in and so the driver asked if any one wanted them. So I took them home to my sweet wife of many years and gave them to her and her words were ...... "Now what the hell did you do?" I am sure in her own way she still would miss me and the pay checks....... Thanks guys and Happy Trails...... Z

Well had the ring checked on my friends diamond checker and they are not diamonds. It was kind of nice feeling like a king for a few days. But lets get back to reality and head out to find a real diamond.

When you have a chunk of 14K gold of that size, you dont really need diamonds. I guess it would have been nice though. Good Hunting.

Thanks Jim and Furious. I am not complaining one bit. I have a ring box that has many rings in it. I would wash them off with water and put them in the box. Well since I got this ring I started to clean the rings, bracelets and necklaces and many are like new pieces of jewelry. The guys at the detector shop did weigh the ring and said I could probably get around $400 to $500 in scrap gold. So it is a very nice find. When I am done cleaning I will take a picture of all the stuff in the ring box. It is just 4 years of collecting, to me it is a lot of good finds.
