and lasted all of five minutes before I froze my arse off and damned near got blowed away. I don't think this stinking wind is ever going to quit. A friend of ours has been without power for days and it just came back on today. Found every bit of eight cents in my short hunt.

And here at the mouth of the Cowlitz there was not a puff of wind at any time today. I mowed my lawn in a t-shirt as the temp climbed up to the upper 50's Amazing how much change there can be in the wether in just a matter of thirty miles or so.

Yeah you lucky dog you. I hate this stinking wind and it's blowing right out of the gorge. Without the wind it would have been lovely here.

Not the best of conditions, but it must have been good to get out even if it was brief.
I tried to have a rare beach hunt in Sydney a couple of years ago. The beach was still loaded with people even at sun down. Had an almighty southerly buster come through and cleared the beach inside 2 mins! The wind was gusting to 120kph (75mph) I finally had the beach to myself. I hunted for about 15 mins, being sand blasted the whole time. Had my back to the wind. Made a few finds but started to think about the paintwork of the car. It was just off the beach. Decided it it wasn't worth it. Very annoying as it was my only opportunity to beach hunt for 12 months.
