Another Good Day With The T2

Another good day. There were several finds including the one pictured found in Oxfordshire 12th August. The Thible is a hand made late Medieval open top "Tailor" type. The buckle 14th Century A.D. with a very nice deorated fixed buckle plate. The pin was iron so is now missing. The condistions could not have been better. Other finds A Colchester first century brooch in poor condition also a 17th century Traders farthing.Lots of bits of lead which is common on a UK village site.

I vary them depending on the site conditions. This one was sandy soil so little mineralisation so I used 85 Sens 22 Disc and 2+
On that site I shall use the 12x10 SEF coil next time I hope on Sunday or Monday coming.

I read everywhere SEF coils does not make any difference to T2 and other than stock 11"DD coils does not worth the money. What is your experience regarding that?

Thanks
Antonio

I was lucky when I bought my second hand T2 it came with a 12x10 SEF coil. I found it gives better rersults on grass land but not when the field is mineralised. Then the standard coil is better
I bought my package just before things went mad early this year, so I did not pay full price.
