Another great day with the Ace 250

We had an even warmer day today so I went out to a ball field close
to me and started swinging. Walked off the ballfield with $8.65 in clad, a useless
bracelet not even silver, and a fake Indian Head Nickel. Five hours out there and
no even a ring. At least the clad paid for gas.

Good quantity of finds and nice that you were able to get out:thumbup:

Just saw that HOBO nickel .
A while back on another forum there was a thread about those nickels.
Congrats on that find .Would like to find one of those.
Could be worth more than a nickel's worth.

The funny thing is that when I was out there I kept getting signals that were reading no good. But I dug them anyway
and kept pulling up dimes. That may have something to do with the fact that the ground was so wet. Today, in a different location
tose bad signals REALLY WERE junk.

Unfortunately its not a real hobo nickel. Its a piece of kids Jewelry; note
the two hones drilled on top and bottom, and the back has some kind of modern
design on it. I WISH it were a hobo nickel but no such luck.

Hey, either way, it's still a nice hunt!:detecting: Good clad haul! Thanks for sharing! Happy Hunting!:)

I keep getting people telling me to stay away from the Ace 250! Yet, I see posts like this one that contradict this view. Is it the fact that its an iniexpensive unit that people view it this way??? I mean for the price, it sure looks to do an awesome job!

Dwayne,

my detectingbuddy has an ace 250 and I am always amazed what he pulls out with that machine. The aces are great machines for the money and they often put the big boys to shame.

I wish I could have a day like that. Yesterday, I detected for about 3 hours and even tho some of my targets showed up as coins it was all junk, 1 bullet, 1 shell casing and other stuff. I did find an old model car that looked nice with one wheel missing. one of those matchbox cars that looked kind of old. It's a matter of perspective, I guess. You are used to finding more and better stuff, but what you found would be the best day of metal detecting I ever had. great day tho and thanks for sharing.
