That makes 5 JFK halfs so far this year, none of them old enough to be silver, so I spend them at the store hoping they will get lost again. I have the habit of looking in trash cans at the parks I hunt, as I turn on the machine, I briefly glance in there, you can tell what went on there the day before from what kind of trash is in there, and what you might expect, how long they were there, for instance, if theres a bunch of birthday party type of trash, diapers, etc. focus up on gold rings...If theres malt liquor or energy drink bottles or cans, focus up on chains etc...just trying to get the mind set for working the area based upon evidence of usage...Changed the batteries this am, I think that makes 3 times this year? maybe 4...the coin total is 4340 and clad count 335.54 so this F70 is an economical rig. There was a dead guy who washed up on the beach Monday morning, I was about 100 yards from him and the sand rake operator found him before I did and called the cops...it was 7 am. Had the sand rake guy not found him, I would of... I dont know what I would have done to be honest, but I guess sooner or later if a fellow spends enough time outside early, it is a likely situation to mentally prepare for. In one of the gravel totlots I hunt, some little kindergartner kid keeled over dead in his mothers arms a week or two ago...he swallowed a rock and it choked him. nobody knew until yesterday the cause.
