Good Day Fellow Seekers!

About 10 days ago, I came down with what I thought was a bad head & chest cold. In fact, it was my 'old adversary' mr.bronchitis (little 'm'). After trying to doing it the natural way for a few days, I realized
it was going to take something stronger than green tea, cough syrup, or Nite-Quil. So I finally went to the 'doc to get a prescription for antibiotics. Well ... to make a boring story shorter, it worked! Praise the Lord! I'm not out of the woods yet but beginning to feel much better. Now, if I can stay away from the bugs roaming around the complex, I think I'll make it through the winter in good shape. God's will- ing but that doesn't mean the evil one is...Amen?

Small question for Mike of MI here: I purchased a new pair of chest waders to hunt the water. The smell of these things is driving me out of the house! What can I do to lesson the odor? Any ideas?

Y'll have ah good day now yah hear...

Can you tell if it is outside or inside? I will email you!

Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for Martin's getting better and on the way to complete recovery very soon! Amen! Don't know about the odor but hope you can get rid of it. How about pouring baking soda into them and shaking them up if on the inside...leave awhile....and see if that helps...the outside I don't know unless you spray Chanell #5 on them....I've heard it is a lovely smell but I've never used it....too expensive for an old country gal raised in the hills of the Ozarks! May God Bless! Amen! Betty

Hey Mike, Turns out it was both inside & outside. Apparently the factory applied a bit too much protective coating and then, when they boxed the waders up, the chemicals reacted to being in a closed container or something to that effect. The doctor told me she thought that part of my lung problem may have been from breathing the fumes from the waders. Go figure! Anyway...I called Gander Mt. & they told me to return them to the store for a refund, which I did today. The closet, where they were hanging, still wreaks from the odor, so I'll have to treat the closet now. Bummer.

Good to hear that you sent them back, as Chemicals do harm the body and lungs when breathing in the fumes! I hope you can get the closet free of the odor! I think there are some deodorant bags that can be placed on a shelf or hung up inside to help keep odors out! My ex and I used to look at new travel trailers years ago, and on a warm or hotter day the fumes were strong strong in them that it would burn your eyes and take your breath away. Heard it was Formeldahyde that they used in the formica and etc. but don't know for sure, but it wasn't easy to be inside looking at the interior! Hope all turns out okay and you get to detect in the water before long, although will take a while for the waters to warm up! May God Bless! Amen! Betty
