Man! Woodchip , I would like to know what state you live in to have such access to sites that hold so much wealth in historical artifacts...You constantly impress me us with your finds.....I'm drooling so much that I'm getting dehydrated!!!

I live in Virginia but like to hunt in Maryland and West Virginia. Sites are not easy to come by but with a never give up attitude you can still get permission. I think finding a site takes a practiced eye and getting on takes a good rap.

The fact is that 95% of hunting success is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

I know a guy who started hunting in the mid 70s with a cheap Radio Shack detector. He would go to a certain park once a week and come back with no less than 50-100 silver coins. Amazing stuff.

A little research goes a long way.

Hey Woodchip.....I would think you live close to the Winchester, VA area....I live in central West Virginia but I'm over in the Martinsburg, WV area quite often...Maybe we can catch-up one day.

I live in Richmond and its been many years since I've hunted up that way. Found some nice stuff on private land around Charlestown.
