Another productive night hunt

Started off with a '17 wheatie on my second signal, nice, pretty smooth though. Found a couple nice dropped rounds, not sure on the ID though, they don't quite match up to any bullet I've ever seen, very similar to a Starr Carbine though. Also found an old fishing jig that is kinda neat, still has some of the twine still on it, but half of the hook is rusted away. All in all, not a bad night. Hope everyone is getting a chance to hunt!!

Cool bullets, let us know when you id them. I think the jig is cool too.

Thanks, it turns out that they are a variant of the Starr Carbine bullet. They must not be found very often cause I can't find a single picture of them on the web or anyone posting anything about them. Someone with a bullet ID book told me that the book says there is a variant with a small conical hole in the base. So, that's pretty cool, might be worth a little extra.

Yeah, i love the jig too!

Pulled a perfect dropped .69 cal minie ball, woohooo, I love those massive hunks o' lead. Also a fired colt .44 round.
