Another Question!! Are the coils windings resonant, as with any transciever? If so, what is used to resonate them? Tnx in advance! <font color=#FF000

Hi Richard,
PI coils are not resonant. In fact they are damped by a resistor, at least to the critical damping point, and often overdamped. For high sensitivity applications the coil/cable/TX circuit capacitance is kept as low as possible. This is to keep the damped switch off of the coil current to be at least five times faster than the fastest object time constant you want to detect.
