still have to get out in it, as gotta withdraw more money from my IRA to pay bills that keep on acomin' ! Have to get meds and some food and etc, as I haven't went shopping since Jan 4th.....Mother Hubbard's Cuboard is getting bare fast! Don't like to be going out in the rain and damp weather, but 'tis necessary today! Jesus is my Healer and God is my Protector....so all will be okay with Ma! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus! :) May God Bless! Amen! Betty

if one has to do things they would rather not do then it's wise to smile and do them. I used to have a sign in my classroom that said "The secret to life is to smile as you take out the garbage" :)

Stay dry, steve in so az

Stay dry and safe Ma. We are getting some snow here. The heavy stuff is coming later. Looks like a day watching detecting videos tomorrow. Mike is funny. He says 4 to 8 inches is just a dusting to them in Michigan.

But have fun doing it!

Thanks everyone, but 'twasn't as needy as I thought......Was raining with some whitefllakes and possibly sleeting all at once after I posted my message and then it turned into heavy, light flakes and when I looked at my bills that were due, since I do bank billing, I can wait until Monday and not have to drive in this mess, I hope!!! I have breathing and arthritic problems in this cold, damp weather, so don't want to make myself worse or possibly have an accident, because the roads are already wet and with the white stuff falling they will get slick and most of these St. Louis drivers are in a hurry and don't slow down for nothin'! ....................SO MA decided to stay in and hope and pray Monday is better but will definitely have to go then! Have plenty of food to cook but don't like to COOK! Didn't lie but just changed my mind after checking that I can put off going for better weather! Better to be wise than foolish....but could be foolish if the white flakes accumulate and are deep by Monday!

May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

If it piles up too high I will come down plow your drive then take you to run errands!

Thanks Mike, and how many miles would that be? Are you going to charge per mile and then for the work done? I can just see you coming all this way to help Ma, which is nice, but doesn't need to be, as my neighbors clean my sidewalk and driveway and all I have to worry about is dirving on the streets and roads, which are salted and plowed when the white stuff and sleet covers them, so really no problem with that part, as long as I am careful, keep my mind on where I'm going and try to dodge other drivers! But right now all the concrete areas are pretty well clear and will depend on what happens over the weekend. If I need someone to drive me around, I can call my son, who is off work on Mondays..unless he is called in because of bad weather... and is only 5 miles away, to drive me around....but really don't like to bother him as he is really busy on his days off and needs to be able to rest and enjoy his time off from work! He drives a lot when working for Pizza Hut and doesn't like to be driving until going back to work! But if I really needed help or someone to drive me around, I would call him when truly necessary!

May God Bless! Hope you get lots of plowing that white stuff to earn money to pay your bills! Amen! Ma Bety

Ah who cares about the miles! As for the charges, free to you my dear! God tells us to serve others.
By the way, we only got a dusting, it went just south of us! Oh well.

Sorry you didn't get enough to give you some work and financial assistance but there's a next time or I hope so, me son! Dear Lord hear our prayers for Mike's needs and send him Lots and Lots of the white stuff to plow, although others are probably praying that it won't be! Amen! :)

What we got on roof, trees and ground has almost half melted away already, for the sun is nice and bright today, or I think that is what it is since I haven't seen much sunshine for awhile! The very large Pine Tree's limb in the Common Ground not far from my kitchen window were dancing and swaying to the merry tune of strong winds blowing this morning....and are still dancing with the wind still blowing rather gusty! Haven't been out, so don't know how cold it is...enjoy the white scenery from inside instead of outside!

Maybe, when summer comes, or you are on your way down South sometime, you can stop by and see me but let me know ahead of time so I can be ready and, hopefully, cook something for you or a hungry family to eat! Would be nice to see all my Brothers and Sisters & families on this forum! May God Bless and answer our prayers for each need! Amen! Ma Betty

No thank you, Doug, I did get enough to cover the roofs, tree limbs and ground with the White Stuff until it looked like Powdered Sugar was dumped all over and very pretty in the moonlight last night when I went to get the mail after darkness set in! Ya'll can keep the deeper, white cold Stuff and that way I can get out and drive around easier when I need to do so! :) May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
