Went out with a friend to one of my lakes that only I have detected in and have invited this friend twice. He found $11.00 in quarters alone. I let him play in the shallows and I of course went deep with my gear. My totals are a mans 14K ring with 5 diamonds, a 10K signet ring 5 silver rings and 4 junk rings. A watch, a small silver pendant, 2 earrings, a small bell, and a Detroit Lions football token from 1974 that is very corroded and has the teams they play on it. I only got $5.00 in quarters. No silver coins and one wheat cent. Two sets of keys, a 38 S&W, whistle and a baby spoon. Another strange find is the tube of cream. Prescription, expired 1994.

The STRANGEST thing I found today was a huge American flag on a pole!! I brought it up but the flag disintegrated almost immediately. Kept the pole. And I got a big safety pin also and a junk bracelet. Water is still tolerable. Will probably go back tomorrow to one of my other fun lakes.

The flag was probably on a boat. Congrats on the goods!

Robert,

You're making me want to get into water detecting bad! Now, if I could only convince the wifey..........:stretcher:

Great recovery , assortment of everything from a whistle to several rings, the last two hunts I've came up empty with a few dozen pull tabs and no gold! Thumbs up, Best of Hank.

On these lakes you never know what they dropped over their heads, and I find the strangest things!! Old heat on the stove iron, old toys, guns, bottles, tokens, shoe horns, and just plenty of weird things!! Some were used as anchors, others are just puzzling why they are in the water! I know things get dropped off boats and docks BUT WHY have I found 3 shoe horns this year?? LOL , you just have to love this hobby. I have a large assortment of whistles, From lead ones to newer plastic ones from life guards. I probably have more tools than anybody that I have found underwater. I also have a very old pair of handcufffs. Its the ultimite place to find large and small treasures that have tried to drown!!

Congratulations! Nice Finds! Unfortunately I don't find as much 'gold' as I'd like to find. I do find nickles, pull-tabs, and a lot of Sterling Silver rings but not much gold. I think I would if I were in an area where there were gold rings. Admittedly I don't hunt the beaches all that much because every time I do go, there's a multitude of guys out there, with their machines, digging up the beach.

I'm jealous! J/k! I need to put more in the offering plate! Hehe!

I just shot cola :yikes:out of my nose laughing so hard, people around me think I'm crazy while on my blackberry , ole well that was hilarious, I was thinking about water hunting but I changed my mind,Scubadetector! Best of Luck, Hank.
