another silver dime wt the Ace 250 and,,,

3rd time outwt this machine. I must be getting lucky. Im not having too much problem wt the ace but seperating multiple targets when they are close is a little tricky.

Went to a large field behind a church . Second thing I dug was a 1953-d silver roosevelt. Was about 5" down. Then after digging many more coins. Found this 2nd item pictured, I believe it is a remake but I really dont know:unsure:

It was about 2" down and cleaned up really good wt just soap and water. It looks like polished silver , has the weight to be silver. No blemishes like silver.. hmm,,, I dont think it is silver

But really ,,I dont know what it is or why they would copy something like this. Any help wt it would be great.

It is a Spanish cob, or copy thereof.

Great silver finds, If it's really silver................great finds either way

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...................................

Try raising your coil up a couple of inches or so to narrow the search cone. If you have the pinpointer and the coins are shallow enough isolate them with the pinpointer. Or if you don't think they're valuable coins probe for them in the area of the signal patternand remove them one at a time until you can isolate the rest.

That second item looks like a handmade coin. I'd check it out. That's how they made coins before Mints came along.

Alright!:clapping:Nice hunt!:thumbup:Congrats on the silver!:cheers:Happy Hunting!:)

I will try to figure out if this is the real thing. Since I have never seen one b4 it makes it very hard to tell. First, I need a pic of the real thing.
things that confuse me about this object is,,,although it has all the charactoristics of silver, why is it so shiny, like it has been polished and if it is a remake, why no "copy" mark on it or a hole in it for hanging on a necklace or something like that. Oh, one more thing, it sure cleaned up easy, after being in the ground, just like silver.
Either way, someone went through alot of trouble if it is a remake.

Im very skeptical about it being real, doubting it really. But I will try to figure it out.

(Uncle willy- that is my name too and I,m a uncle) :beers:

Thanks for the help and responses
