Another silver ring.....

Picked up another silver ring today......a very small children's size, but, it is stamped 925 inside (not even worth posting a pic). That makes 6 rings, 5 in the past few weeks. I had high hopes for the search today, an old school built in 1931 had been torn down (quite a way from here) and a very large area of 'virgin' dirt just waiting to be detected. But, it was not to be.....all but a small portion had been turned into parking lot, paved over! Boy, was I miffed!! My fault, however, I should have made the trip sooner. I did come away with two old keys, a button, a medallion of some sort...I know it says 'Raider' on it, but, can't make out the other writing even with a loupe, 4 quarters, 3 dimes, 4 nickels and 13 pennies. Not bad for a couple of hours. BTW, the little ring hit solid in the dime range.

yes you have to move quick. These days time is money- sometimes Im shocked on how they move on stuff even on the other side of town: your not over that way for 3 or 4 weeks and bam, instant building, instant parking lot.. love finding silver rings, good going. Keep sending us your stories and posting your great finds, Happy Holidays, CO

Congratulations on ring #6. I had the same thing happen when they dug up an old football field/ rodeo arena parking lot and before I got to it they had already paved it.:ranting: I hope you keep finding good stuff. HH Randy
