antique brooch

found this antique brooch yesterday while my th buddy and I were detecting a tobacco patch where there once stood an old house in the late 1800's. Had it looked at today by a professional jeweler and he said the stone was turquoise with gold interlaced throughout it. it is surrounded by six seed (baby) pearls, and the setting is made of copper and gold. he said it is very old but declined to give a value on it. the stone has a couple of small nicks from being run over by the plow. about 1/3 of the brooch was sticking out of the ground and my xlt squealed when I went over it. The dime is just for size comparison.

My brooch has now been chosen by White's to appear on their March website. Received $200 gift certificate for my story. Now that's a comany that appreciates their customers. Thanks White's for the great detectors.
