Can somone that has what they feel is a very good (depth wise) 1236x2 send me any info on a air test that they have done with there machine ...(sens,disc.coin type, coil, etc)... thanks joe

I just recently got a like new 1236 because when I had one 10 years ago, it was the last analog machine I had before I went to a TID machine and I really liked it a lot. I had no trouble with the 8" coil getting 10" deep 3 ring minie balls with it. I'm looking forward to getting out with it soon and re-learning the "Clicks & Pops"!!!

Joseph,my hunting buddy used a 1236 until he sold it just a couple of days ago. He found a Morgan silver dollar and a flying eagle penny with his 1236. The reason he sold it was because he wanted a Tesoro.
Last fall we were hunting at an old picnic grove and I called him over to check out a signal that was deep but repeatable on my Tejon. Not a peep on the 1236 with the stock 8 inch coil with zero disc or even in pinpoint mode even at max sensitivity.
I dug the target and at just over 10 inches deep was a small buckle off a horse harness or something that still had pieces of leather attached. It is a good coin machine with respectable depth. HH.....

for the report..That is the kind of info I have been looking for...from what I have been able to find/read the 1236x2 max detecting depth is around the 8 to 11 inches deep ...depending on how hot the detector is.... which is not bad for the price range on this unit. I really like the low fequency of this detector .HH
